Display
Compared to the previous OnePlus 5, the biggest change of OnePlus 5T is all-screen smartphone design in the front panel. The phone comes with a 6.01-inch Full HD AMOLED panel with the resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels at a PPI of 401 pixels per inch. The resolution has been bumped up from the FHD to FHD+. It measures 156.10 x 75.00 x 7.30 mm (height x width x thickness) and weigh 162.00 grams.
The OnePlus 5T is Full Optic AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio and the crafted all - aluminum body, which provides a taller and slimmer display. The new aspect ratio better features a stretched-out display with accounting for an 80.5% screen to body ratio, allowing for a more immersive view experience. As the OnePlus said, a seamless all-metal chassis perfectly matches look and feel with durability, to make sure the OnePlus 5T is functionally and visually slim.
Specs
The OnePlus 5T is supported by the same internals that made the OnePlus 5 an all-around solid performance. The only spec changes of the 5T are the larger screen with a corresponding higher resolution, and a new secondary camera sensor and lens arrangement.
The OnePlus 5T runs a subtly-improved version of OxygenOS on top of Android 7.0 Nougat, and it will get updated to Oreo by this year's end. The 5T is powered by 2.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor. Moreover, it comes with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, and 64 GB or 128 GB of native storage. However, there is no microSD card slot, so you can choose your storage configuration as your requirement.
Facial recognition
Another key feature is the inclusion of face recognition tech to unlock the screen. It's incredibly fast, with almost no delay between you tapping the screen or button and your home screen appearing before you. The face unlock is easy to set up, and just need several seconds to unlock in your look. The OnePlus claims the tech can identify you and unlock the handset in just 0.4 seconds.
Face-unlocking on the 5T needs the light source. The street lights can check your face, while the screen brightness can't. OnePlus 5T can unlock in several different scenarios, but if you wear a low slung hat or blinked a pair of glasses, it wouldn't unlock.
Camera
The most notable of OnePlus 5T is the new camera system. Whereas the OnePlus 5 used the second main camera as a telephoto lens, the OnePlus 5T is supported by the dual camera with the "Intelligent Pixel Technology" that is optimized for low-light and portrait photography.
The highly rated 16 MP + 20 MP rear cameras of OnePlus 5T can help you capture crystal-clear shots. When users want to take low-light shots with the regular 16 MP camera, the secondary 20 MP camera will be used to group pixels together to capture enough light and dark data. What's more, when you use Portrait Mode to photograph, its dual camera system will use two sensors to focus on your face while blurring the background for a gentle and powerful effect.
The OnePlus 5T boasts a 16 MP front camera, so that the users can photograph more beautiful self-portraits with your families and friends when you are traveling or in a party. The 5T can shoot smooth 4k clear videos by automatically compensating for shakes and movements, to ensure high-resolution videos.
Software
The software is so smooth, fast and evolving. The OxygenOS is streamlined and refined with painstaking detail to ensure the software that's speedy and bloat-free, which gives users a refreshing usage experience.
Hardware
The fingerprint sensor is below the rear camera sensor now, rather than on the phone's front. The OnePlus 5T's stretched-out front display forces the fingerprint sensor to be moved to the back, the first for any OnePlus smartphone, while the OnePlus One and OnePlus X have featured fingerprint sensors below the display.
There's still no water resistance rating for OnePlus 5T. It doesn't feature splash resistance. Therefore, you shouldn't use your phones in the rain or take a shower. You need to keep your phone away from the water.
OnePlus also keeps the headphone jack for the OnePlus 5T, as well as the Dash Charge technology that is powered by a 3300 mAh non-removable battery.
Price
The OnePlus 5T goes on sale on November 21 in several countries, and the hope will be that the stock can hold up to the demand. More importantly, the OnePlus 5T with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage sells $499, and 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage cost $559.
In short, OnePlus 5T is a high-tech smartphone that is worthy of being purchased as its powerful specs and excellent features. If you like the 5T, you can order it in the OnePlus official website.
