I've been using iPhone to capture precious memories in the past few years. mostly photos and sometimes videos. In fact, there are differences between shooting photos and videos. When I post some of my favorite photos or videos on social networks like Facebook and Instagram, I keep receiving requests either asking for what app I used to post-process or what phone I used to take these.

These two questions are basically like asking a camera lover what brand of his camera is and what camera lenses he/she uses. According to these misgivings, you can tell that most people seem to be having a stereotype that with a powerful and versatile phone/camera/app comes an outstanding artwork.

Sometimes someone even stands out with sure confidence questioning you that a cell phone cannot take such an awesome picture or video. Let's take a look at this image below. Many may say I'm a fraud, for it's impossible to capture light trails by a mobile phone.

Capture Light Trails with iPhone

Those who bear such a point of view must be quite unfamiliar with iPhone. After iteration and iteration, iPhone camera has been enhanced several times. Speaking of iPhone photography, it's not a must that you should be using an iPhone X. I myself have used iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 6s and now am using iPhone 7 Plus. The obvious changes are the increasingly high resolution and creative ways to capture a photo and video.

Even now, some people are still obsessed with B&W (Black and White) Photography taken by an iPhone 4 like those who are attracted to old-fashioned camera roll. It's like a sensation that can never be well-described.

iPhone Photography

Though the algorithm in photography on mobile phones is not as complete and powerful as that on digital cameras, it's already enough for iPhone photography. In addition, iPhone camera has an excellent specification that no cell phone can compare, for example, iPhone 8 with 4K video recording at 60 fps and Slo-mo video support for 1080p at 240 fps. Be it in written tech specs or through actual photographing, iPhone camera totally outperform others. That's why I say that iPhone is already enough for regular photography.
